Industrial Adsorbents

Ceramic Support Balls

Ceramic support balls/media are inert with stable properties and a low rate of water adsorption.

They are normally used to support Adsorbents and catalysts within reactor vessels or support grid perforations but can also be utilised as grinding media. They can also help to improve the gas or liquid distribution through the catalyst bed.

Product Information

Ceramic support balls/media are inert with stable properties and a low rate of water adsorption. They are normally used to support Adsorbents and catalysts within reactor vessels or support grid perforations but can also be utilized as grinding media. They can also help to improve the gas or liquid distribution through the catalyst bed.

All sizes from 1/8” (3mm) up to 2” (50mm) are available.

Ceramic Support balls can withstand:
• High temperatures and high pressure

CERAM 17
With 17% alumina these are the most widely used support media in the world because of their excellent consistence and reliability. Products to these specifications are manufactured from very high-quality chemical-porcelain clay materials, which has quite excellent stability, high mechanical strength and resistance to thermal shock. This makes them all ideal choice for support of all types of catalyst.

CERAM 23
CERAM 23 Support Media is a relatively new media in the industry with unmatched impact resistance, thermal shock, crush strength, and survivability. Products to these specifications are manufactured from very high-quality chemical-porcelain clay materials, which has quite excellent stability, high mechanical strength and resistance to thermal shock, this makes them all ideal choice for support of all types of catalyst.

CERAM 99
CERAM 99’s chemical composition is 99+% alpha alumina with a maximum 0.2wt% SiO2. Because of its high alumina content and low silica (SiO2), it’s a very excellent and ideal product for high temperature and steam applications, such as secondary reformers in ammonia processing, where leached silica will coat downstream equipment or foul the catalyst bed.

The CERAM 99 High Alumina Support Media has very excellent thermal properties, with its high density high-temperature resistance 1550°C, also it’s a good choice for heat retention or equilibration media.
