Our VCI Products protect metals by forming a mono-ionic layer of high-tech VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) chemicals on the metal surface. The protection is complete all hard to reach areas such as recesses, voids or airspaces will be protected from corrosion. The protective barrier self-replenishes through further condensation of the corrosion-inhibiting vapour, even for packaging that’s repeatedly opened. The greatest advantage of VCIs is no requirement for air-tight packaging.

How VCIs work
VCI vapour corrosion inhibitors can be used in every stage of the production cycle. From the beginning with production of metal stock through to storage, shipping and its actual use in the field. When properly applied, VCI additives, metalworking fluids and packaging will substantially cut time and costs throughout the entire manufacturing process including storage, shipment, field service or final presentation of the finished product.

VCIs can eliminate many extra processing steps of cleaning, degreasing, rust removal, pickling, sandblasting and re-protecting. A compact, self-sticking porous dome container loaded with VCIs. Very easy to install, suitable for enclosed volumes of 10 – 500L.

VCI Stretch Film
A plastic PE film containing a combination of VCI-inhibitors for the protection of ferrous & non-ferrous (multi-metals) iron, steel, copper, brass, bronze etc. A transparent film that is readily adaptable to automatic packaging allowing allows users to easily identify & inspect parts without opening the package. Can be stretched up to 300% of its length, also ‘clings’ like gladwrap. Very high strength suitable for wrapping on automatic/semi-automatic stretch wrapping machines – can also be applied by hand individual protection of parts & components. Rolls are 150mm wide by 520m long.
